I ordered this to have another hob for when preparing larger meals and entertaining. Sadly, the description was not very clear that it was induction and required induction compatible cookware. This has since been added. I did not have compatible cookware, which was an excuse to buy a new set. Never having used induction before, I did not know what to expect. It is going to take some trial and error to use the temperature setting, but I have to say it steeped a pot of tea in five minutes! From the photo you can see in five minutes the temperature was over 160 degrees. The fan is not too loud, but something to note if you have never used an induction plate before. The instruction manual is basic, so I will have to play around with this to learn all of its features. With that being said, I think I will really like this hob! We are renovating our camper and needed a two bedroom burner cooktop. At first we weren’t going to install one but just use a hot plate. But then I came across the model that allows for installation or use a hot plate. The glass has a marble effect on it which is so much better than the plain black. It heats up quickly and has a function that allows you to lock the burners so they can’t accidentally be turned on. This hot plate burner is really nice. It heats up quickly and when one is done and you turn it off it has a display that says hot until it has cooled down sufficiently. My stove had one burner go out so this will be a nice addition to the kitchen where I can have four burners going at the same time rather than 3 which was inconvenient as I always needed all four burners when doing a large meal. The knob on the front turns it up and down. Plug it in, hit the right button to turn on. Hit the left button to get temp going and then turn the dial on the front to adjust up or down.
