The document organizer was relatively easy to assemble. The only tool necessary was a hammer to hammer in the back panels. The back panels do need to be hammered in however. I left mine off initially because I wanted to make the document organizer accessible from both sides and it was pretty wobbly. I like that the shelves can be arranged however you want, making this organizer very customizable to your needs. Overall, this is a great product for organizing your documents! Stack up to two high to increase sorting capability. Black plastic molding does double duty, first as an attractive accent to the finish and second as a label holder for identifying the bins (labels are included).
