I’m able to store over 20 pairs of shoes (I wear a size 10) and still have room left. I even slid three pairs of slides underneath the cabinet for extra storage. The cabinet is metal, and while it’s not extremely sturdy when being moved — mainly because the back consists of two thin panels secured together — it feels perfectly stable once assembled and in place. The glass panels allow you to see the shoes, though I’m considering frosting them for a cleaner look since I don’t need them visible. Taller boots may not fit unless you remove or adjust a shelf. The cabinet is very sturdy and exactly what I needed. Assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were easy to follow. The illustrations were especially helpful and made the process quick and efficient. My only complaint is the stickers provided to cover the screw holes on the sides of the cabinet. By the second day, several of them were already curling and peeling off. A small felt or plastic insert designed to fit into the holes might have been a more durable and attractive solution. The build was simple enough although I had to take the whole thing apart after realizing 2 of the horizontal supports were on backwards. Nice shoe cabinet. There was one missing bolt and Wayfair was quick to respond and sent several replacement parts. My flat shoes, like Keds fit good. Four to five pair per compartment. My husband’s shoes don’t fit very well. Only two pair per compartment. We added legs to make it sit up higher than our baseboard trim for a closer wall fit.
