I received the kitchen island with extendable dining table which had a few challenges during assembly. One of the board was not milled with the cut outs to fit the other piece together. I contacted customer service and they contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent the correct piece which took about a week to receive. During assembly, there were some areas where the pre-made holes for the screws were not lined up and required some drilling to correct. Once the island was assembled, it looked great and was sturdy. Behind the two doors is an adjustable shelf with ample storage and the drawer is wide and roomy. There is a towel rack at the end of the island and the extendable table pulls out easily and provides enough room for two adults to sit. I love the fluted wood design and the gold fixtures stands out nicely from the white. We needed a kitchen island in our new space and this was it! It could be a bit bigger but were happy enough with this. It took me and my husband about 5-6 hours to put this together. From the moment it arrived, we could tell the quality was excellent for the price point. The finish is smooth and even, the hardware feels solid (none of the cheap wiggle-around stuff), and the cabinetry itself feels much more substantial than we expected for a piece at this price. In our kitchen, this has become seriously functional eye candy: • The drawers slide smoothly • The cabinets hold way more than expected • The countertop holds small appliances and provides great extra workspace • It’s big without feeling bulky We also used Wayfair’s assembly service, and it was 100% worth it. The installers were professional, efficient, and did a great job putting everything together. With a large piece like this, having it assembled correctly made the whole experience completely stress-free. We have kids, so storage and durability are huge for us — and this has handled daily use easily. It’s not a piece you have to “baby.” The color matches our decor beautifully, and it feels like something that was far more expensive than it actually was. This has been a fabulous addition to our kitchen. Assembly was long, but straightforward. We did have an issue with the handle on the trash tilt-out thing. This is a great product. It’s wasn’t difficult to put together but it took a long time due to so many pieces. It took about 5.5 hours to assemble for one person but I think would be quicker and easier with 2 people. I gave it four stars because the trash bin drawer is a little shaky so we added L brackets to give a little more stability to the drawer. Overall I think this was a great purchase.. Sandra.
