Very pleased with this bed! After purchasing another wooden loft bed also from Wayfair that not only came with a few damaged pieces, but missing pieces as well my husband and I were hesitant about this bed, but were surprised. This bed came on time with all pieces, no damage and was packaged a hundred times better. Instructions were pretty straightforward and bed is extremely sturdy which was our main concern. Our four year old climbs up and down the ladder with ease. Material bins are also well made and strip lights add a cool touch. Very displeased with this product. First the instructions make it very difficult to put this thing together. You have to repeatedly use your phone camera to blow up the view of the parts so that you know which part and which position it needs to be. Second, the labels provided, particularly on the hardware came off so you have to guess at what is what. This loft bed was exactly what we were looking for. My husband put it together in 3 hours; pretty simple instructions. One thing I wanted to note!: This bed can be built with the stairs on EITHER SIDE. We were so confused looking at the photos trying to figure out which side the stairs were on, but it comes with two sets of instructions, one for each side, so that worked out perfectly. We added some support to the wall because it does shake a bit if you're up on the bed. You do need to get a 6 inch mattress or else the safety bars won't reach above the mattress. The only complaint I think we had when putting together is the screws labeled D were too short for some of the parts they instructed us to use them for so we used the longer one of the same size (Screw A) and it worked out. It serves our purpose for two teens in one bedroom. It did take 4 hours to put together (two people and husband is a contractor). If you have 8ft ceilings it is a tight fit for a teenager.
