Had issues with smell from first hot fire up, wife was very upset. Seems to be over that issue, running furnace at low heat is working very well now. Makes a lot of heat with very little wood. This is a great little dehumidifier. We got it for our basement because our old one was getting old and starting to have problems. This one is smaller and a lot quieter.
