It is soft and very comfortable. I have back pain and mornings are always hard for me to get up and moving. Since I have switched to this mattress I do not wake up with any aches or pains! The mattress has a good thickness and my fitted sheet fits on it with ease. It is well made and the stitching shows it. I will be sticking with Serta for all my families bedding needs!. Beth1982. We bought a new Stearns and Foster mattress because ours was over 10 years old. Just finishing knee surgery I really wasn’t able to sleep in the bed for about 4 weeks.
