I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. Choose the medium density with a green 1-inch sidewall and 29 ounces of fill if you are a stomach sleeper, the blue firm density with a 1. 5-inch sidewall and 32 ounces of fill are for back sleepers, and purple extra firm density with a 2-inch sidewall and 34 ounces of fill is for side sleepers.
