We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. However, you should consider two things: 1) you can get a filter so that the hot water is filtered -if you drink filtered water normally, your hot water should also be filtered! 2) if you get a filter, then you might want to get a dispenser that dispenses both hot OR cold. I purchased this faucet in brass as a lavatory faucet. It's very pretty, and seems solid and well made. But the faucet spout length is 2 inches longer than my current faucet, so I hope it works. It hasn't been installed yet, so I don't know. I had a lot of trouble finding a wall mounted lavatory bridge faucet that wasn't a modern style. This one coordinates nicely with the new Kingston Brass clawfoot tub faucet I purchased. I am replacing an existing faucet, and only have two faucet holes, so it would have been an expensive installation not to get a bridge faucet.
