I’ve been using this iron for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly made ironing way less annoying. The soleplate glides really smoothly, even over thicker fabrics like jeans, and it doesn’t snag or stick. It heats up pretty fast, which is great when I’m in a rush. The steam is strong enough to get out stubborn wrinkles without having to go over the same spot ten times. I also like the pointed tip for getting around buttons and collars. Cleaning it is easy too. On/of switch on handle is ideal also (most irons do not have this). Heats up quickly. Big issue, however, is the nearly-impossible-to-fill reservoir located almost under the handle; iron must be off and fully cool to fill, because you have to tilt it, back end up towards yourself, to fully fill it. Good for ironing a garment or two, but an utter nuisance if you have a pile of ironing to get through. Re-engineer the water reservoir opening, and it would be a truly great iron.. C D. I love this iron. When I saw this on line it looked liked the one my mother had. (and I'm in my 70's) It got hot and is heavy enough to get wrinkles out. Most irons advertise lightweight but I like a heavy iron. Works well if you sew and do a lot of pressing. Love it! It does not hold very much water for steaming. The Armor SX5000 WB is a PRO-Grade water-based penetrating water-repellent sealer. It penetrates deep into the substrate where it chemically reacts to form a hydrophobic barrier within the pores that reduces surface water absorption by up to 95%. I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. My driveway has now gone through two winters and the sealant is still somewhat effective, but I think I will need to coat it again this fall.. Bryan. Halifax, NS. Thu Mar 26 2026

I was looking for a good iron that wouldn't break the bank. This iron is it. I absolutely love the retractable chord. My irons in the past have eventually ended up leaving black flecks on the clothes when using the steam function but this iron hasn't done that yet.
