Hinges are strong and work well, they do have a little play in them so even if you level the doorgate they are attached to perfectly, expect a small bit of sag once tension goes on them. The Y-Latch is a swing latch that provides adjustability to your gate. Designed to work with aluminum gates and is composed of steel, so it will withstand the most extreme weather conditions. This latch is is lockable in two places for extra security and works with 2" posts and 2" uprights.

This Y-latch is just what I was looking for, it is a little bigger then i needed, but it won't work with my gate. the space between the gate and the post is too small. I think you need at least 2in.
