I was concerned about whether the birds would accept this based on the reviews but there are dozen of the flitting around it as I write this. I did deduct a star because the metal is a much thinner gauge than my previous brand name one (which needed replacing because a bear destroyed it- never had bears here before). The old one had already survived having a small tree fall on it. This one would not withstand that. The lid already had a dent when it arrived and I could easily bend the metal with my bare hands. The finish is a sprayed on paint, not a more durable powder coated finish so it will likely rust pretty quickly. I didnt want the hassle of a return so I kept it. The 21.3 inch red & silver chicken feeder is awesome! As always, the shipping from Wayfair is fast, fast, fast! This chicken feeder arrived fast, well packaged and had assembly instructions included. I like the overall design of this chicken feeder and the fact that it has a handle on top for easy transport, caps on the feeder ports to secure the feed overnight, and it's taller than most chicken feeders with it's long slender metal legs. With that said, I gave this feeder 4 stars instead of 5 because after filling it to capacity it became somewhat 'top heavy' with those long slender metal legs. My husband beefed the legs up to prevent the feeder from toppling over - which really made a difference. It's still a great feeder and I would recommend it.
