This handrail returns to the wall at a 90 degree angle on both ends to comply to ada wall return requirements. The handrail is made from 1.5” round aluminum stock tube to allow for comfortable daily use. The endcaps are machined from aluminum for an elegant return that protects your wall. The distance projection from the face of the handrail to the wall when installed is approximately 3.75 inches. High strength construction meets load requirements of 200lbs or more. The handrails are designed to have a minimum of 1.5" clearance from the wall to the back of the handrail to meet standard clearance code requirements (see images for technical dimensional drawing). I had a customer purchase 4 of these toilets, the only problem I noticed with the installation is you can tighten the bolts through the sides of the base and you can still twist the bowl. In other words there's still play from side to side, but not forward and back. I've watched several installation videos, and everyone gives the impression that the toilet bowl is locked down without any movement. So once everything is assembled your basically depending on the caulking to seal and hold the base of the toilet in place. On the concentional base with the screws being secured through the holes on the base you were able to securely lock down the base.
