My cousin, who lives with me and is in his early 80’s, was having a really hard time getting out of his brand new bed queen size bed that has a 10” all foam mattress and 10” box spring made of the typical wood with covering. Also, the mattress was sliding bit on the box spring we got. I got this metal low profile 5” box spring and it made all the difference in the world. It comes with a really nice cover as well. My partner and I have been using this split frame for a few months now and we love it. This is our first hollow box spring after living with an old coil box spring for so long. These work just as good as our box frame that was 6” thick! (We got a new bed frame that would’ve raised the mattress up too high).
