Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. My thumb is almost the same size as these. My mother has a chandelier type of light, so if the take this type of connector and not the screw in bulbs, I will test them on hers. OR because I am satisfied with the quality of these, I will by a light that takes these bulbs specifically. The shipping was amazing. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. I should probably ask my contractor to review this product, since I didn't have to install it myself. All I can say is that it looks great and opens and closes smoothly. If you're not experiencing this with yours, then maybe it was the installer's fault. One drawback is that it's not very tall. At 5'7", I can step into my shower without ducking. My sons (5'10") would have to duck, as does my 6'2" boyfriend. But maybe that's standard now? Whatever.
