I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. Your umbrella will inevitably get scratched, and you will have to deal with the hassle of moving heavy items around, which will ruin your outdoor experience. If you use our patio umbrella base, place it on a sunny day and then fill it with sand. When it is cloudy, lift the hidden handle on the back, which is convenient and labor-saving.
