The surface was good but note this isn't a small whiteboard. Its probably better for an office setting. The quality was good overall and it seemed sturdy, the locking mechanism could be better but the whiteboard it self is the heaviest part, which has its pros and cons. The trim around the whiteboard was cheap though and coming loose. A bit of clear caulk/adhesive would fix that. A few things, If your tower is 17in without the tower feet, it will not fit against the L bracket. The L bracket should be adjustable to accommodate at least slight shorter towers, it only adjusts to the length of the tower. The base it sits on, should be vented or a mesh to help with air flow. Lastly, the mounting bracket should detachable to make it more manageable to actually mount it.
