I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. Installed this color-changing bathroom fanlight recently and overall I’m really happy with it. Wayfair sent the wrong color since we wanted the matte black one, but support helped. The fan moves air well, the light is bright enough. Color modes are the fun bonus that makes the whole bathroom feel more modern. It’s great to have options… normal white light for getting ready, softer tones for nighttime, and color modes when you want a little vibe. That said, installation was a bit trickier than a standard fan because this unit has multiple functions (light fan color modes). We only had one existing electrical feed at the vent, and while the instructions said additional wiring was “optional,” we wanted to unlock the full potential so we ran an extra line to be able to control everything properly. This toilet has heated seat, heated water for the bidet and heated dryer. It is beautiful, and easy to clean. The night light is wonderful at night. Luckily i got some help from my friend to set the water heater heater in place.
