This is a great looking thermometer but I had to return this one for the bronze one. This looked like a darker brown in the picture but it’s really a lighter brown with green undertones. I just love it! We needed a clock/thermometer combo for our patio that could be seen from the house (my husbands desk looks out on the patio) and be heavy enough that it wouldn't fly off when things get windy where we live. (We get micro-bursts as well as high MPH winds where we live...) I also wanted something good looking. This hit all the marks, was a great value for what it is, plus it has a Hygrometer, which tracks humidity. The back of the unit "key holes" sit down over the screw heads and the clock itself is weighty and broad. Between both of those features, I expect it will stay put even in the windiest conditions we get around here. I had wanted a comfortmeter for a while. Essentially 2 gauges in 1 with the added bonus of a declared comfort zone in the area where the needles cross. I have a number of new and vintage "ships" barometers and clocks. The brands I tend to buy don't make these. The traditional marine brands are pricey, even used. This brand is new to me. Priced new at less than used ones that I am familiar with the brand. While this is clearly not as heavy duty feeling/looking as the brands I have, it has the look and fits in. The temperature calibration was exactly what my digital gauge stated, I had to adjust the humidity. Quick ship and delivery, as described, new for less than most used ones I saw... Alot to like! Only complaint, FedEx, who has delivered to us here for 20 years, chose to leave package by our garage instead in our enclosed courtyard where a camera alerts us to packages and visitors...
