Replaced an older downdraft system from the 90s, this unit was best for me because beneath the countertop, the motor can be movedpositioned either in front of or behind the unit. I searched forever for an affordable 6 burner gas stove top. Here it is. Upon first installation we had a few issues. 1st was the smell of gas. Had it checked and there was no leak it is the just the smell of the materials used to make it. It was very strong at first. Next issue was that the burners all were set at max power. We had to contact customer service to get a special tool to adjust the burner flames. So everything was burning even on its lowest setting which is another thing Im not crazy about.
