This lovely desk was a fabulous purchase! The price point is excellent for the quality. The legs are solid wood and although the desktop is MDF, it has a lovely grain is very heavy and looks expensive. There is no drawer so we added some lovely leather accoutrements for storage and a desk pad. We have a small office so the openness of the desk gives a feeling of space in the room. Few things to note 1. Don’t try to swap the drawer sides or you have a massive gap on the side from the desktop 2. The instructions show you the sides swapped with the flat side of the shelf unit facing out - this is a dirty trick. Don’t try it or you off center desk. 3. Swap step 8 and 7. You’ll thank me later. 4. 2-4 hours is a lie IF you follow the directions. I had to rework 3 times which put me at 5-6 hours of putting together. 5. I waited 5 months for this desk to come back into stock. Although it’s the look I wanted, the rework and cussing was not to my satisfaction. Our farmhouse executive desk features a spacious, waterproof, and scratch-resistant wood-grain desktop perfect for work and study. The desk offers ample storage with 7 drawers, including small drawers and file drawers equipped with an adjustable hanging rod for versatile organization. Two file drawers with smooth-gliding metal rods easily accommodate various document sizes.

The desk is slightly different than the photographs in the listing shows... and that is mentioned by other reviewers. The "washed wood" look is much more pronounced in real life than how the online listing looks, which worked okay for us, but may be startling to others. Also, the one thing that cost the rating ONE STAR is how "sharp" the edges on the black desktop are... we ended up buying a custom-sized stitched leather desk topper for the desk which greatly enhanced the appearance and also makes it much more comfortable when we rest our arms on the edges while typing. Assembly took about 1.5–2 hours and isn’t quick, especially if you’re doing it alone since you have to brace and stabilize parts as you go. The included tool works but doesn’t let you fully tighten everything, so I ended up ordering a proper wrench set. The tabletop fit was very tight and caused a small chip during assembly, and there were a few minor dings, but nothing dealbreaking.
