We love this product! Every piece is unique and has the look and feel of real stone yet super lightweight. We will be getting more for another wall and support columns as it looks so great and easy to install. We ended up using 18gauge finish nails as 16 kept jamming. And we used thin board that I painted matte black to put over the sheetrock to nail the faux rock into. One thing that was disappointing was the amount of broken pieces. We were able to use them but would have liked no broken ones. They could do a better job at packaging so as to prevent breakage during shipment. Other than that I highly highly recommend them!. Juli. Evolve Rain Screen is a geometric patterned drainage and ventilation mat. It is designed to eliminate moisture and moisture vapor within various wall systems. It is product from an extruded polymer matrix of tangled monofilaments. The 3-dimensional mat is heat-laminated to a non-woven Light-weight, breathable fabric in order to provide a separation from various wall systems. The monofilaments are heat-welded at the junctions to form a structure that spaces exterior veneer away from the inner sheathing. The product is useful in cavity wall designs and rain screen systems in which an airspace is needed for drainage and ventilation.

I picked these stone veneers as they were neutral colored. I went back and painted a light white over the veneers and sponged the paint in. Added a wood frame and indirect lighting. Love the wall and am so happy with the overall look. I ordered 16 veneers in all so four packages. I laid them all out on the floor first to get a pattern that flowed. The veneers don’t all lay flat so I used a wood frame behind them and attached them to the frame with Brad nails. Easy to attach to frame and with the nails and you can pull them off and adjust if need be. Very easy to work with. I even had to cut 5” off the bottom row and super easy to cut with jigsaw. The Armor WL550 is a penetrating, matte wet look water repellent sealer. It penetrates deep into the substrate where it chemically reacts to form a hydrophobic barrier within the pores that reduces surface water absorption by up to 95%. It will darken the surface to slightly enhance any dull and faded coloring. The Armor WL550 is made from high-quality, non-recycled, US-manufactured resins. It is designed for unsealed concrete, brick, pavers, natural stone, and porous masonry. It works entirely below the surface and won’t leave a surface film. By reducing surface water absorption, cracking, spalling, pitting, mold, mildew, algae, staining, and other damage and deterioration caused by surface water absorption will also be reduced.
