The LEDefense light looks cool and it seems to really work well too. I have put a lot of garlic through it and the light seems to have kept any odor from that at bay. Love that feature, cuz the musty disposal smell was one of the reasons that I had my last disposal ripped out. Because of these extra features, it takes up a bit more room under the sink. Love this product - most especially the added safety of the magnetic lock to start. I did a ton of research to find the best deal and recieved really quickly. Highly recommend. We got the power kit as well (you need it if plugging in under the sink, could skip up youre hardwiring but definitely check codes in your area). We installed in a new kitchen so had the electrician wire an outlet and a switch under the sink. This way we dont need an air switch on our precious counters and have an added layer of safety if we need it. Beyond that, everything is customizable — with the option to add up to 12 water outlets, plus steam enhancements.

We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings.
