The base cabinet was pretty beat up. Unfortunately I’ve come to expect this on large shipped items. Assembly was not so bad and the grill looks good from the front. Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. The bbq is great for the most part. A few details leave something to be desired. The drip pan doesn’t line up very well so it hits the edge and drips a bit into the bottom beside the propane tank. The door doesn’t latch solidly either (the magnet is terrible and small). The side burner runs very hot even at the lowest temperature which is a bit annoying as you have to get something to raise it so it isn’t so close to the flame if you don’t want to burn whatever you have on there..
