Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. The light is very nice looking and was easy to hang. There are two major issues that we had to solve for. First it's not dimmable the way you would think. It comes with a piece of cellophane type yellow film to put on it. It is Very Bright without it. The second issue is the on off switch is positioned to rest behind the picture.
