Beautiful tile and beautiful detailing. Giving 4 out of 5 stars because it chipped in a couple spots upon install. Possibly just the contractor’s fault. I will say the color of grout makes a huge difference in the feel for this tile. I originally had Mapei grout, color grey. The installers didn’t mix the grout correctly and it came out blotchy and bleached out in places. I did a grout refresh on it to fix that issue and went darker with the grout, did Mapei grout refresh color black. Wow, looks so much better IMO! I used this slate both inside and out and love the way it looks. Our new home is modern industrial and the rustic feel of this slate was the look we were trying to achieve. It does show footprints and we did use this in high traffic areas like our entry. We used a few rugs to cut down on the maintenance which is no more than a damp mop.
