The tile is good, I took a star off because upon delivery the driver is supposed to call 30 minutes ahead, which wasn’t done. So it was delivered which blocked our garage, so we had to physically move it. I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. Beautiful tile and beautiful detailing. Giving 4 out of 5 stars because it chipped in a couple spots upon install. Possibly just the contractor’s fault. I will say the color of grout makes a huge difference in the feel for this tile. I originally had Mapei grout, color grey. The installers didn’t mix the grout correctly and it came out blotchy and bleached out in places. I did a grout refresh on it to fix that issue and went darker with the grout, did Mapei grout refresh color black. Wow, looks so much better IMO! I used this slate both inside and out and love the way it looks. Our new home is modern industrial and the rustic feel of this slate was the look we were trying to achieve. It does show footprints and we did use this in high traffic areas like our entry. We used a few rugs to cut down on the maintenance which is no more than a damp mop. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
