Patchwork overdyed rugs are produced from older Turkish carpets at least 25-50 years of age. These have been cut into smaller pieces and sewn into new designs and sizes. Once the rug is complete it undergoes a unique process of color neutralization before being over-dyed in an exciting new color. The result is a mix of traditional Turkish carpet designs fused with a contemporary retro style. Colored vintage carpets may lose some initial color characteristics and become even more unique in their look over time.
