Rug is beautiful. Lays pretty flat right away with a felt rug pad underneath. It is on the thinner side so you definitely want a felt rug pad. It is actually pretty soft to the touch (way softer than a jute or sisal rug). It doesn’t smell at all and was packaged well with several moisture absorbing packets. Rug style is great and it looks super in my room. However, it arrived with a stain running down the center of the rug. Disappointed it arrived with this defect in quality.
