I wanted to post this review with pictures to help others decide if this item will meet their needs, as all the photos online show only a frontal view and the advice on Kichler’s own website is confusing (they told someone with a problem that sounded exactly like mine that their broken part was not a replaceable part… what?). The tab on the dimmer part of the switch broke, so I ordered this to fix it. It worked exactly as intended, and was super easy to install. This is a plastic faceplate that replaces the parts of the switch that you can see. The most likely reason you’ll need to order it is if your switch breaks in the same way as mine. There are no electrical components in this part. If that’s your problem, your solution will be more expensive and won’t be fixed by this part. There is a 1-gang wall plate cover that comes with the part that you actually want, but it merely rests over the switch faceplate, so don’t worry if your switch is in a multi-gang setup. Bought two of these as a Frankenstein solution to make another brand of single hole faucet (that came without any cover plates) work with my pre-drilled 3-hole counter tops. The cover looks pretty good with the modern style chrome faucet it was paired with and it does a good job being a cover for the most part.... For me, the lack of attachment mechanism cost it one star. It doesn't have any way of securing the sides to the counter so when the faucet is tightened down it causes the ends to bow up about 1/8th of an inch on each side.
