It has 1/8 in. thick rims and wavy edges. It is very pretty with a botanical theme. It has 2 birds and one butterfley amidst the roses. The background on the 1 1/4 in. rim is yellow. It has a hatching on the yellow that is closer together than the pattern on the dinner plate so it does not appear the same shade of yellow. it thus gives the appearence of a reddish yellow because of the hatching..
