We finally got this gazebo up. Love the final look but it was a process to get here. It took 3 people roughly 10-12 hours to complete this. The instructions are fine but I think order of them could make more sense for the roof attachment. The instructions also never tell you what tools to use if each step which would have been nice. There’s so many parts that we needed a little more guidance with that part. We also had all 4 of the posts scratched upon arrival. They scratch easy but thankfully it comes with touch up stain. We used different anchor bolts to attach the base to our concrete because it didn’t seem to work with the 38” hole that they recommend. Now that it's installed, I'm VERY happy with the overall look and quality of the gazebo. It's attractive, sturdy and a nice addition to my back yard. I do feel obligated to give a mild warning to prospective buyers: - When the instructions say 2+ people are required at certain stages they mean it. DON'T do what I did (assembled the posts and beams upside down and flipped it over). Ripped bolt anchors, bent metal, lots of cursing. All fixable but not a good time. - The instructions only include pictures and there were more than a couple times I interpreted them incorrectly . I ended up having to remove and re-install parts after having that "ah-hah" moment . Not the end of the world but it adds time. - Nuts and bolts are made of soft metal. You WILL have lots of stripped bolts if you use a power drill ( a must if you want to speed things up) and are not super careful. Good news is Sojag provides lots of extra parts. But... - Having so many extra parts means you'll constantly second guess whether your missing something; especially since there are holes that don't need anything. A serious endeavor to install on your own, but doable. The adjustable shade is really nice to accommodate for the position of the sun. Great kit! Precise cuts, quality hardware and clear, well thought out instructions. The stain appeared to be somewhat thin so I stained every piece prior to assembly, 3 coats. Used Sherwin Williams exterior wood stain. Built on 4" thick concrete that we also stained. Drilled out the supplied post mounting brackets to 1/2" I.D. and used Tapcon 1/2" x 4" masonry anchors, 4 per post to secure structure to slab. We are very satisfied with the finished product..
