Purchased this while it was on sale for $500 and some. I don’t think it’s worth its original price of over $1k. But for what I paid it’s perfect. My front door has been such a mess since we went from a family of 3 to 5 and this has a lot of storage and hanging space. I also love the hidden storage. This isn’t meant for a lot of shoe storage. My husbands size 13 shoes don’t fit well but sizes smaller fit perfect! I’m going to add some peel and stick wallpaper to some of the back pieces and it will make the perfect addition to my home.. I really like this shoe bench and once put together its looks great and Im hopeful it will help organize the clutter of things I had in this corner. However, the wood is manufactured and not the best quality so Im not optimistic it will stand the test of time. It was surprisingly heavy though, but youd probably still want to secure it to the wall. It wasnt difficult to put together, but still took my husband and I about an hour to assemble.. Grace. This piece is pretty cute and the size fits my space perfectly. The hooks seem a bit cheap, I can bend the metal with my hands if I really try, but they will certainly work for the intended purpose. My main reason for taking away a star is because all of the visible silver screws. Not a huge deal but this would look so much better if they were painted white or counter sunk with caps.
