The six multi-sized tiles are the beginning of a patio area. They came well packaged in a cardboard box and plastic wrapped onto a solid pallet delivered by a freight company--no breakage here! The tiles state that they were Made in Italy. The pattern is attractive and the tiles sturdy! The inspiration for this collection comes from the flooring recovered from an old country home in Romagna, dating back to the early 1900s, when cement began to be used as a binder for renovation work, but pieces of marble or recycled materials were used as insets. In the porcelain stoneware of I COCCI, the grain size varies depending on the size of the different pieces obtained from a single type of traditional white marble chips and white cotto. The mortar used is grey on the outside and white at the core. The collection features a base tile with the same “gravelly” pattern present on the decorative element.

Ordered these in white to coordinate with other tiles by this company with prints on them but. same texture and white background. The finish is a nice gloss so dirt should wipe off easily but still manage to retain the old Mediterranean feel I am looking for on this project which are outdoor steps into the garden. The tile arrived a bit chipped but it will not affect the top surface of the tile or strength of the tile as the porcelain appears to be thick and of good quality. Size matches exactly to the measurements of the printed tiles I received earlier so I won't complicate installation. These have great water resistance, and are fine for outdoors as well as indoors.. These tiles are so beautiful! Not only are they made well with precise cutting on each edge, the surface patterns are smooth to the touch even though they are not a glossy finish. They add a real touch of beauty to my kitchen. I would have preferred fewer patterns in the selection (there are 8 or 9). I chose two favorites for this project (my kitchen rolling cart), and I have several other similar projects in mind, including an inlaid serving tray. Beautiful tile! It is thick and heavy and arrived well packaged and undamaged. It looks like 4 separate tiles with grooves between each one but it is actually one large tile 24" x 24".
