A monument to modernism, the stacked cylindrical exterior of the Guggenheim resembles a white ribbon swirling up toward the sky. Inside, the nautilus-like shape of the space leads visitors via a continuous spiral ramp extending from the seamless ground floor upwards toward the domed skylight at the top of the building.
