Basement Bathroom with Kohler Grid Style Shower Door! We had been searching for a shower door for our new basement bathroom. We didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a shower door for a bathroom that may not be used much. The “grid” style door is what we wanted but a custom shower door seemed to be our only option to achieve this look. We came across the Kohler shower door and fell in love. My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools.
