It’s a beautiful gazebo once it’s set up. Our family friend who’s a contractor put it up for us in a day. It’s solid and mounted to our wood deck. The curtains are an added bonus although they occasionally loosen after tying. There’s an indie hook at the top of the ceiling that can be used to hang a light fixture. Theirs is also a zippered area at the top of the ceiling designed to keep debris on the roof from falling below on the inside of the gazebo. We also strung lights on the inside. The 13'x13' wood gazebo is constructed with a premium spruce wood frame, which is stronger and more stable than regular wood's, with upgraded pit wind performance for an additional 5-10 years of life. Metal gazebo roofs are protected by a high-performance coating that resists fading and UV exposure. Galvanized double-layered roof maintains ventilation. Versatile use scenarios, perfect for your patio, garden, backyard or deck.

First the good. The Gazebo looks amazing and, for the most part, was easy to assemble. We have a circular shaped patio which made it a small challenge to find a shade structure to cover most of the area as efficiently as possible. A rectangular structure that fit on the patio space would not have covered the space great, a rectangular or square structure would have had to be larger than the patio space requiring some digging to secure the system. The Octagonal design and size of the octagon fits almost perfectly onto the space. Assembly was very easy, fortunately I had a hex bit that fit the screws used for the assembly which saved my wrists from the stress of using the provided allan key. Only two hangups with the assembly, one, the metal roof has a layer of shipping film on both sides which took a few hours to remove from all of the pieces, definitely slowed moment. The second issue is the installation of the brackets that secure the roof could have been more clear, it took some time to get everything aligned so the caps could be installed. Some patience is needed for this portion. Only a couple of issues that prevent the 5 star. One, the unit is not very tall, when fully assembled the entry height is only 76" which we were aware of thanks to the drawings in the listing. I solved this by mounting the gazebo to some blocks that raised the height to better align with the patio steps. The other issue is with one of the pieces, it had a split running almost the entire length of the board and, in sections, appeared on both sides of the piece. I did reach out to the email listed in the instructions, they offered a discount on my total purchase, which I accepted. If I need to, replacing the board wouldn't be an issue for me so I accepted the discount, a replacement piece was not offered. In summary, we are very happy with the unit. It provides much needed shade for a space that receives significant sun from noon until 5PM in the summer. This is a beautiful gazebo. The instructions are in pictures so if you need words for direction you are out of luck. It took my husband and I a total of 24 hours to put it together and he is a mechanic. The total time was partially because of our unusual placement in which the gazebo extends further than our patio space. Also, we secured the front posts in an unconventional manner by placing them in large pots which were then filled with heavy materials. There are what seems like millions of screws and other pieces. There were quite a few "disagreements" while assembling this item which was entertaining for the neighbors. We both agreed that if anyone ever asks us to help them build a gazebo we will politely decline. All parts were present but we made sure of this prior to starting the build. There were a few times that we could have used the help of another person when building the frame but stepladders helped immensely. This patio gazebo is a polycarbonate roof gazebo, which can block sunlight rain, and snow very well. The wooden columns and reinforced base as well as the triangular reinforcing poles of the columns will make the gazebo more stable and not easy to shake, and you won't have to worry about damage for a long time to come. Meanwhile, the double roof gazebo also ensures good ventilation and the spacious 12' x 14' space can also accommodate 5-7 people comfortably in the gazebo at the same time.

Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good.
