The standing height is sufficient for me (I am 5' 7" tall). The height is also just barely sufficient for my husband (who is 6' 3" tall), it would probably be a bit short for anyone who is taller than that (depending on the height of their desk off the ground to begin with). The tolerances are so tight I had a problem placing the side bars into base. Also, the wrench to connect the wheels to the base was missing.
