First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. The chair itself is nice and the cushion is nice but the heated controls are a little delicate and they are put to the back of the armrest where you can’t see them. This is very sturdy and definitely a bit nicer looking than the plastic bases. So giving it four stars for that reason. Only taking away one star because I didn’t really think about how expensive it was going to be to fill this with rocks. It cost us another 200 in rocks to fill it so it is a very expensive umbrella base. If you think about it that way. Also, I had concerns about it safety especially with kids around after it arrived so I ended up buying black bumperspool noodles to put on it for safety reasons so that kind of takes away from the aesthetic look. Great Umbrella! Easy to assemble and took about 15 minutes. The base does require sand to keep it secured, but it comes with heavy duty canvas sand bags that fit inside the square base. The hand crank to open and close it turned easily and fully extended it covers a lot of space. You do have to play with the clamp/arm to get the angle you want, but its easy to operate. I wish they had provided slightly larger tie strings as they barely go around the umbrella to secure it while down. A piece of velcro fixed that issue. I got the khaki color and it a nuetral color.. I put this together by myself, so it is possible, although it would've been easier with a friend. My concern so far is that it is wobbly, even with a solid base. This is my first umbrella this big, and it's a cantilever, but it's moving so much in such a slight breeze that I am a little nervous it will just flop over with a gust of wind. I will update as I use it, but my confidence is a bit low that this will work. I don't even live in a very windy area and the small yard has a 6 foot fence around it!
