I was very detailed about measurements and measured my windows from the outside as this makes a difference with ledges and making sure the shilutters are not too short or long. Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. I ordered several shutters off the website. The process was rather simple. I was easily able to add a coupon as well. The cost for these shutters was by far the best out there. I put the 11 pairs of shutters up in less than a day as the instructions were easy to follow....and once you do one pair, it just becomes busy work after that.
