These shutters look beautiful! They are well made with heavy sturdy PVC material. I was very detailed about measurements and measured my windows from the outside as this makes a difference with ledges and making sure the shilutters are not too short or long. Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. These are pretty. A little strange the base color (blue) was speckled looking. The shipping was less than desirable. They did not arrive in time to be painted by my painters. The ETA changed a lot. Pediments are the portion of the trim that is located above the pilasters, which are the column-like frames on the sides of windows and doors. Directly below the pediments though, between the pediment and the pilasters, is a crosshead or breastboard. The crosshead is the flatter, protruding section directly above the door. Pediments can be purchased by themselves or can come with a crosshead already attached. These Pediments are manufactured out of high-density urethane, which is made to resemble wood without the maintenance required by wood products. Urethane products are resistant to cracking, splitting, and rotting. They are usually less expensive than wood alternatives.

Beautiful shutters. Great detail. Love the custom sizes. Only negatives are that they do not come with any mounting hardware or advice on how to mount them…and for the price, I would have expected pristine condition but there are a couple of areas that look like they did not quite get enough paint on them.
