Our shiplap kits are available in a custom-milled pattern, giving you the look of traditional shiplap with a perfect 1/8 inch gap in between each board to give you the desired nickel gap effect. Nickel gap wainscoting offers a clean-line, modern take on shiplap with an interlocking tongue and groove profile so they don’t overlap at all. The tongue fits in the groove, once installed on a surface, the boards have a gap between them, so you don’t get warping that causes shiplap boards to look crooked or uneven. The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project.
