Let me preface this by saying I am a carpenter by trade, so maybe my expectations were a little higher than they should have been. I think these cross heads are a great product, but have a few issues. Maybe I got a “dud”, but the thing was warped/bowed like crazy. I had to manipulate the thing for about half an hour, glueing and fastening just to get it to sit somewhat flush and level. The pre-mitered corners had some issues as well. Not a flush cut, So I had to do a bit of work on it. For the price, and the convenience of not having to make it by hand..I’d say go for it! Just be sure you understand some work will have to be done to get it perfect. I also want to mention, I got a set of Pilasters from the same company, and those came out excellent! Highly recommend. It's lovely material, but the install was initially pretty (conceptually) tough. Screwed up with the adhesive and had to order another piece of this. The main thing that saved the final install was using a (cordless) nailer, which made it a lot easier. If you don't have one, recommend to borrow one from a friend (hopefully you already have one). If you don't use a nailer, try to find the least obtrusive finish nails / use a precision finish tool (not sure what it is called but it's a little thing you use with a hammer to push the nail heads deeper, but not so that you dent the moulding) to submerge the nail heads. When you paint this, also recommend to start with the little domes and really work around them so paint does not pool. Finish the rest of the paint job with swipes in parallel to the length of the 'board'. I ended up using four coats of paint...it was worth it. Your mileage may vary!
