Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. Very happy with this ceiling medallion. The light fixture I had originally ordered for the room felt too small and this gave it the dimension in the room that was missing. Pretty simple to install. We just used small finishing nails to secure it as flat as we could to the ceiling. Then caulked around the edge. We did not end up painting it because our ceiling was already white.. Nicole.
