The medallion is a nice add-on to the light fixtures. I used Rust-Oleum Universal spray paint, very easy and very fast! This is a beautiful piece. Sent well packaged. Lightweight but durable. Sadly, it did not fit my gable so I am having to return it. It was my fault about the wrong sizing because I am a senior lady and could not climb a tall ladder to measure so I just "eyeballed" it!
