The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. Pediments are the portion of the trim that is located above the pilasters, which are the column-like frames on the sides of windows and doors. Directly below the pediments though, between the pediment and the pilasters, is a crosshead or breastboard. The crosshead is the flatter, protruding section directly above the door. Pediments can be purchased by themselves or can come with a crosshead already attached. These Pediments are manufactured out of high-density urethane, which is made to resemble wood without the maintenance required by wood products. Urethane products are resistant to cracking, splitting, and rotting. They are usually less expensive than wood alternatives.

This was one of my favorite projects in my new home remodel. I always loved a jewel box powder room and I think it came out FANTASTIC. Easy installation but I had to use a hardcore primary to get a smooth finish. Don't like the smell it leaves behind for a few days but if you want a smooth finish you need it.
