The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. Gable vents work to provide ventilation, releasing stagnant air, preventing damage from humidity, and optimizing temperature control. Gable vents are particularly useful during the summer months when hot air rises and is trapped in the attic, where it can transfer itself down through the ceiling and back into the level below, decreasing the effectiveness of air conditioning systems A gable vent is located at the attic area, commonly on the exterior wall where the two planes of a sloping roof join, forming a triangle. The gable can be any symmetrical shape, but the triangle is among the most common. Other vent shapes include rectangles, steeples, circles, and octagons. Gable vents are fitted with horizontal ventilation slats called louvers. You can add a mesh screen to be placed behind the vent. This allows air to circulate while keeping outside elements where they belong. A gable mounted ventilator helps to push air through the louvers. The ventilator removes air from the attic through the use of turbines or fans. The gable ventilator commonly requires no carpentry, as it is mounted on the interior of the wall behind the gable, however, electrical installation is required.

Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand-carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mould master. Once the mould master is created we use our high density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high density urethane and not vacuum formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions are light weight for easy installation and come primed ready for paint. These are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Our whole one-piece medallions are cut in two for you, making installation a breeze.

This worked out really well. I had a hole in the ceiling I needed to cover, so I ordered the 30” version. Item came as described. A word of advice: paint it before you mount it. They are moulded from beautiful designs, like wood products, and come to you factory primed and ready for your paint. The functional option will offer better airflow, however, urethane vents offer the least amount of airflow. Highly recommended for decorative applications.
