I was looking for a non-traditional ceiling medallion for my Organic Modern decorating style. This is perfect. It is real wood and you can smell it. It comes in a variety of colors and I chose one that ties my "greige" colors with darker browns. Also, we need to move the ceiling fixture because it is not centered over the dining table. The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. Painted & antiqued it and came out great. Installation was a breeze. It's on the ceiling of a covered patio and while it doesn't get any direct weather it does get temperature & humidity fluctuation. Crown moulding adds a beautiful finish to elegant rooms. To get this look you would simply hire a professional to figure out and install all of the complicated miter cuts. This made the cost of crown moulding more expensive as this method can be labor intensive. Not anymore. Our moulded inside and outside corners make installation a breeze. Say goodbye to miters with our DIY corners and couplers.

I know there’s quite a few reviews on the medallion not fitting properly together. I may have been lucky because mine fit perfectly. I will tell you if you are looking for something that will fit around your canopy this will not fit if your canopy is 5 inches in diameter which mine is. My canopy fit perfectly centered in the middle but on top of where the medallion meets if that makes sense. I ended up having to cut mine to fit around the canopy because if I hadn’t I would have had to buy a longer screw for the canopy so it could sit lower then where it sat before. Canopies are meant to sit flush against the ceiling so there’s not much room to lower it. The medallion is about an inch or so thick.
