Pediments are the portion of the trim that is located above the pilasters, which are the column-like frames on the sides of windows and doors. Directly below the pediments though, between the pediment and the pilasters, is a crosshead or breastboard. The crosshead is the flatter, protruding section directly above the door. Pediments can be purchased by themselves or can come with a crosshead already attached. These Pediments are manufactured out of high-density urethane, which is made to resemble wood without the maintenance required by wood products. Urethane products are resistant to cracking, splitting, and rotting. They are usually less expensive than wood alternatives.

The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. Crown moulding adds a beautiful finish to elegant rooms. To get this look you would simply hire a professional to figure out and install all of the complicated miter cuts. This made the cost of crown moulding more expensive as this method can be labor intensive. Not anymore. Our moulded inside and outside corners make installation a breeze. Say goodbye to miters with our DIY corners and couplers.

The medallion is a nice add-on to the light fixtures. I used Rust-Oleum Universal spray paint, very easy and very fast! I this item a 5 star review because its beautiful. However, the ordering process was a pain. wayfair kept changing the date of delivery. I had hired a builder to install them because it is holding up a small roof, so I needed to know a date of delivery but, every couple of days I received an email with a change. So, I called the manufacturer and they stated the delivery date has always been the same which was another date then what I had from Wayfair. The good news is it came 3 days early.
