Waited to buy this for soooo long and now that I have it I was super excited to put it up then I realized that the whole in the middle is to small! It says right in the description that the 12 one fits a fixture of up too 4.75 that would have been perfect but as you can see in the pic the hole is actully only 4 wide! What a waste of money! Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That masterpiece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created we use our high-density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, lightweight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high-density urethane and not vacuum-formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions are lightweight for easy installation and come primed and ready for paint. These are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Our whole one-piece medallions are cut in two for you, making installation a breeze.

This makes a statement! However, it is quite heavy (about 10 pounds). I would not rely solely on adhesive caulking and would add screws to help support it. I purchased this several years ago to use when I had my ceiling fan replaced. When taking down the older fan, it had a wider base and the replacement left a less then pleasing cover. This is not where it’s going to go, which is as a ceiling medallion for a fan above my bed… but it is SO GORGEOUS, I’ve actually thought of putting a mirror in the middle and hanging it on a wall…Hmmm, maybe I’ll get another like it and do that, on my wall to match my ceiling medallion I’m actually in the process of getting another slightly different one, a bit larger with the circle around it, but trying to decide if I should use this color or a different one, for another ceiling fan in our living room room‼️❣️♥️.
